Respecting Patient Choices: Advance Care Planning e-learning course

This course is Part 1 of the Respecting Patient Choices ® education course geared to provide a broad introduction to Advance Care Planning. It covers basic definitions, legal aspects, considerations regarding end of life decision-making and communication, the actual process of holding advance care planning conversations, as well as systemic matters that underpin Advance Care Planning.

Palliative Care Online training resource

A new online training program has been developed to help health professionals who provide palliative care to aged persons in the community. The modules will help develop skills and confidence, so that the next person you care for at the end of their life will benefit.

Dementia Learning Resource: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community

The Alzheimer's Australia kit of resources and materials is designed to be used for preparation and delivery of dementia awareness raising and information sessions, as well as educational and training programs, specifically for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

The University of Tasmania's Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), Understanding Dementia, is a 9-week online course that builds upon the latest in international research on dementia. It's free and anyone can register.
