Modified Kimberley Indigenous Cognitive Assessment (KICA) - Regional Urban Victoria

The original KICA Assessment tool was developed to assess dementia in Indigenous Australians aged 45 years and over living in rural and remote settings. A project was undertaken in Victoria to validate a modified version of the tool (KICA Regional Urban) for use in Victorian settings. This cognitive screening tool provides health practitioners with a culturally appropriate means for screening for dementia in regional and urban Indigenous populations.

The modified tool and pictures to accompany the tool are available for download below. Further details regarding the project can be viewed in the final report.
