This service provides free and confidential information on services available across the South Eastern Melbourne Region.

Referral should be made using the Service Coordination Tool Templates (SCTT) and should include information about carer needs: carer stress, mental/physical ill-health, social isolation, capacity to continue in the care role.

Carer support groups provide the opportunity to meet others in the caring role and to share experiences, feelings and thoughts.

Encourage carers of people living with dementia to join a dementia specific carer support group or a carer support group open to a range of care situations.

Carer support groups provide practical information, tips and resources to support the carer role as well as the opportunity to form new friendships with people who understand the pressure of caring.

Carer respite and support services across the South Eastern Melbourne region can assist in linking carers with local support groups and community services.
